Obituary of JOHN NICHOLAS PAUN

JOHN NICHOLAS PAUN John passed away on July 14, 2014 at Grace Hospital at the age of 52. John was born in Port Arthur, ON (Thunder Bay) in 1961 to Ivan and Ivanka Paun who both emigrated from Croatia. He graduated from Lakehead University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and subsequently was offered a position with the Province of Manitoba as a Behavioral Specialist. John completed his career as a Psychologist for Frontier School Division providing a multi-facetted range of services throughout Manitoba. John married the love of his life, Silvia (nee Vecchio) and together they raised three daughters, Denise, Amanda and Nicole. John is also survived by his brother Dan (Tasmin), nephew Jarad as well as extended family across Canada and Croatia. He was predeceased by his parents and older sister Denise. John’s main interest was his family and his hobbies including travel, design renovations and landscaping. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 23 at 10:15 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave. Entombment will follow in Assumption Mausoleum.
