TOMMY VUONG

Obituary of TOMMY VUONG

TOMMY VUONG Tommy Vuong passed away peacefully on November 23, 2014 at the Health Sciences Center surrounded by his family. Although he was only 29 years old, he lived a very happy and full life. Tommy was born on June 9, 1985 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. His early childhood was spent in St Jean Baptiste, Manitoba playing with his older sisters Patricia (Dao), Amanda (Phuong) and Diane. He graduated from St. John’s High School in Winnipeg in 2006. At the age of 18 he moved out and went to live with different foster families until we were lucky to find Yormary Vegara and Elkin Jimenez. We are grateful to Yormary, Elkin and their family for taking wonderful care of Tommy and accepting him into their family. Tommy was a very fun and energetic person. He loved to dance, play video games and make people laugh and smile. He won the hearts of everyone anywhere he went. Although he had health and development challenges, he taught us how to love, laugh and live life to its fullest. We miss you and will love you forever, mom, dad, sisters: Patricia (husband Robert), Amanda (husband Nelson, daughter Lexi), Diane (husband Adam, daughter Kyla, son Ashton) and the rest of his family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to New Directions.
