Obituary of STELLA MYMRYK

STELLA MYMRYK (nee ROGOCKI) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear, sweet beautiful mother, Baba, Great-Baba. Mom left us peacefully surrounded by family and friends on February 24, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Left to cherish Mom's precious memories are her children, Brian (Terry). Barbara (Greg), daughter-in-law Barbara, Clifford, Linda, Sandra (Larry), grandchildren Karlie, Kevin, Kelly, Dylan, Kyla, Alan, Laura, Tara, Dayna, Cory, Jennie, Randy, Josh, numerous great-grandchildren, brother Frank, sister Helen, dear sister-in-law Mary Rogocki, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, special friend Lorraine Woloshyn and many dear friends. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Walter, her beautiful son Glen, parents, Michael and Mary, siblings, Mary, Julie, Jean, Ann, Stanley, John, Walter, Joe. Mom was born July 2, 1926 in Lowland, MB. She left the farm as a young lady and moved to Winnipeg, where she worked at various jobs. In the early 50's Mom met and married her husband Walter of over 25 years, and they had six children. Mom was a stay at home mother, and did her very best in raising her children. After the passing of Mom's husband, she got a job at the Seven Oaks School Division as a custodian where she worked for 10 years, before taking early retirement. Mom enjoyed Bingo, the Casino, playing cards, gardening and being around family and friends. Mom took pride in making her famous, delicious perogies, along with cabbage rolls and borscht. Mom was so happy to see and hear that people enjoyed her perogies so much. "Mom you did make the best perogies ever." Mom dealt with a lot of health issues throughout her whole life, but was the strongest woman we ever knew. She was a very giving and generous person, always putting others needs before her own, especially when it came to her children and grandchildren. Mom had a gentle spirit and a loving heart. Her sense of humor was a joy to be around. Mom was always joking with people and bringing smiles to their faces. She would always stop and talk to people whether she knew them or not. Mom, we love you and miss you very much. We place your loving spirit into Jesus' hands until we meet again. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Health Sciences Centre for the care and support Mom received. Also a big thank you to the staff at Seven Oaks Dialysis for all the love, care and laughter they shared with our Mom and family. You were all very special in Mom's heart. Prayers will be held on Monday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Officiating Deacon Gilles Urquhart. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mom's six grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MacKenzie Gair "Hope" any Crosstown Civic Credit Union.
